The habanero in the greenhouse increases its production due to the control that is on the climatic conditions during the growth and development of the plant; However low yields due to the lack of knowledge about the technology of production proper in relation to varieties, nutrition, plant protection control and the climatic conditions of the region critical point have to decide what structure type and level of automation used in combination with the requirements of the crop. Protected agriculture has brought with it, the use of new inputs to provide the best productive cultivation conditions such as substrates, which provide space where the root system, allowing the anchor, develops oxygenation and nutrient uptake by the plant for its development, therefore the objective was to determine the productive response of the cultivation of habanero type chocolate (Capsicum Ch...) on different substrates (gravel, sand, rice husks and their combinations), under conditions of agriculture protected, taking into account morphological and productive variables, was an experiment with three replications, where homogenized the factors of production, was used as a reference of Steiner nutrient solution. The data obtained from the response of each treatment variables were statistically analyzed with the statistical package SAS version 9.1 and the variables that were found with differences statistics is applied the Tukey multiple comparison test to 5% of probability of error (SAS, 2003). Resulting in this research that plants grown in river sand were presenting the best responses in the variables dry matter of the quality of the fruit inside (the plant height, diameter of the stem and leaf number) there was no significant differences, having the best values the substrate River sand in comparison with the other substrates tested.
