Política ambiental y bienestar social en el municipio de Ocampo, Michoacán. México, 2010-2022

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze whether or not the Program for Conservation for Sustainable Development (PROCODES) is affecting the social welfare of the beneficiaries of the program. Through a test of means and a probit model between a set of localities; localities that did not receive support and three that did, located in Ocampo, Michoacán, the three localities that have received support from PROCODES are located in the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve (RBMM). Data collection was carried out through a survey composed of 33 items on a 5-point Likert scale. It was applied to beneficiaries of the program during the period 2010 to 2020, the results show that there are significant differences in the well-being of the localities that did receive support from PROCODES and that the probability of improving their well-being if they receive support is 1.2 times higher than when they do not.

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar si el Programa de Conservación para el Desarrollo Sustentable (PROCODES) está incidiendo o no en el bienestar social de los beneficiarios del programa. Mediante una prueba de medias y un modelo probit entre un conjunto de localidades; localidades que no recibieron el apoyo y tres que sí, situadas en Ocampo, Michoacán, las tres localidades que si han recibido apoyo del PROCODES se encuentran asentadas en la Reserva de la Biosfera Mariposa Monarca (RBMM). La colecta de datos se llevó a cabo mediante una encuesta compuesta por 33 ítems a una escala de tipo Likert de 5 puntos. Fue aplicada a beneficiarios del programa durante el periodo 2010 al 2020, los resultados muestran que hay diferencias significativas en el bienestar de las localidades que sí recibieron apoyo del PROCODES y que la probabilidad de mejorar su bienestar si reciben apoyos es 1.2 veces superior que cuando no.
