Relaciones filogenéticas en Argythamnia(Euphorbiaceae) sensu lato

Abstract

The gender Argythamnia P. Browne sensu beats (Euphorbiaceae) it includes some 88 species distributed in the tropical and subtropical areas of America. The delimitation of the taxa is controversial since the status taxonomic of the subgéneros that integrate it (Argythamnia s.s., Chiropetalum (TO. Juss.) J.W. Ingram and Ditaxis (former Vahl TO. Juss.) Croiz.) it has been historically inconsistent. The present work represents the first intent toward the clarification of the relationships of these three groups in a phylogenetic context and with use of technical molecular.

El género Argythamnia P. Browne sensu lato (Euphorbiaceae) incluye unas 88 especies distribuidas en las zonas tropicales y subtropicales de América. La delimitación del taxa es controversial ya que el estatus taxonómico de los subgéneros que lo integran (Argythamnia s.s., Chiropetalum (A. Juss.) J.W. Ingram y Ditaxis (Vahl ex A. Juss.) Croiz.) ha sido históricamente inconsistente. El presente trabajo representa el primer intento hacia el esclarecimiento de las relaciones de estos tres grupos en un contexto filogenético y con uso de técnicas moleculares.
