Most endodontic failures are due to the presence of bacteria and their ability to create biofilms. The most located bacterium is E. faecalis, for which the use of irrigation is an important factor for its elimination, apart from the biomechanical procedure especially using NaOCl. Objective: To compare the antibacterial capacity of different NaOCl solutions from commercial brands. Methodology: 55 single-rooted teeth were collected and were inoculated whit E. faecalis for 1 week. These were divided into 3 experimental groups to irrigate them with 3 distinct brands of NaOCl Cloralex, Viarzoni-t, Clorox and with 2 positive and negative control groups. The concentrations of the solutions were analyzed before irrigation and sensidisk were performed to evaluate their antimicrobial activity. Result: A decrease in the bacterial load was observed in the 3 experimental groups, especially with the Cloralex brand, which also has a higher concentration; while the brand for dental use, whose use is recommended, was the one that presented the lowest concentration failing in the percentage of its labeling, while after 24 hours the one that produces the greatest bacterial growth is the Clorox brad. Conclusions: The commercial brand with the highest concentration is Cloralex, in is the one that produces the greatest reduction in bacterial load and the lowest growth in 24 hours, with significant difference with Clorox.
