A latent issue in Mexico and that has been part of the public debate for a short time is the discrimination suffered by women in the political life of a country, which translates into political violence based on gender, which undoubtedly affects the exercise of their political-electoral rights to vote and be voted in the elections that are carried out periodically through free and secret ballot. That is why this research work addresses the analysis and reasons why women have the right to participate equally in political affairs and decision-making in a country. Likewise, the reasons why the State must create appropriate mechanisms that safeguard, guarantee and protect the rights of women in order to provide them with another option to approach justice are exposed.
