De la potencia del entendimiento político o de la libertad del Hombre Complejo spinozista

Abstract

The thesis that is sustained in this research work consists of applying the spinozist theory of affects to the State (Imperium), in such a way that it is perfected as much as possible, which, in turn, is useful for the singular men that constitute it. Derived from the above, the government regime that reports the most utility to the State (Imperium) and to singular men is democracy, since it guarantees two fundamental liberties to live in an environment of tolerance, namely: liberty of thought and liberty of expression. Now then, tolerance is essential so that singular men can aspire to reach, each one for his part, the intellectual love of God, which turns out to be the ultimate goal of Baruch de Spinoza's philosophical program, since it is the maximum joy or happiness to which man can aspire. The application of the theory of affects to the State (Imperium), therefore, would contribute to this goal.

La tesis que se sostiene en este trabajo de investigación consiste en aplicar la teoría de los afectos spinozista al Estado (Imperium), de tal manera que éste se perfeccione lo más posible, lo cual, a su vez, redunda en utilidad para los hombres singulares que lo constituyen. Derivado de lo anterior, se tiene que el régimen de gobierno que más utilidad reporta al Estado (Imperium) y a los hombres singulares es la democracia, dado que garantiza dos libertades fundamentales para vivir en un entorno de tolerancia, a saber: la libertad de pensamiento y la libertad de expresión. Ahora bien, la tolerancia es imprescindible para que los hombres singulares puedan aspirar a alcanzar, cada cual, por su parte, el amor intelectual de Dios, lo que resulta ser el fin último del programa filosófico de Baruch de Spinoza, dado que se trata de la máxima alegría o felicidad a la que el hombre puede aspirar. La aplicación de la teoría de los afectos al Estado (Imperium), por ende, vendría a contribuir a tal fin.
