Identificación y colecta de la especie Jatropha curcas L. en el Valle de Apatzingán del Estado de Michoacán

Abstract

This thesis aims at locating, gathering and recording fruits and vegetative parts of Jatropha curcas L., in the Valley of Apatzingan comprising Apatzingan Parácuaro, Buenavista, Gabriel Zamora, J. Mujica, Tepalcatepec, Aguililla, Huacana municipalities and New Trecho. As we know every day is reduced the potential reserves of the country and globally which will cause the search for alternatives to replace the benefits of this product inevitably it is running out. One of these alternatives could be growing Jatropha curcas for its high oil content ranging from 55 to 60%. For this purpose, an investigation was carried out throughout the Valley of Apatzingan locating 114 collections in all municipalities comprising the region, surveys were conducted to people who know the plant to know how they use the Jatropha curcas. This work was developed because they are looking for alternative fuel in the country and an alternative would be the Jatropha curcas and requires knowledge and is distributed in the Valley of Apatzingan Michoacan state and what are the conditions under which they are (weather, soil, temperature) are fit for cultivation. In this study the climatic conditions of the collection sites, variability of seeds per fruit and the growth stage during the collection found in different sites was identified.

La presente tesina tiene como objetivo la localización, colecta y registro de frutos y partes vegetativas de Jatropha curcas L., en el Valle de Apatzingán que comprende los municipios Apatzingán, Parácuaro, Buenavista, Gabriel Zamora, J. Mújica, Tepalcatepec, Aguililla, Huacana y Nuevo Trecho. Como sabemos cada día se va reduciendo la potencialidad de las reservas del país y a nivel mundial lo que ocasionara la búsqueda de alternativas que permitan sustituir las bondades de este producto que irremediablemente se está agotando. Una de estas alternativas podría ser el cultivo de la Jatropha curcas por su alto contenido de aceite que fluctúa entre 55 a 60%. Para tal efecto se realizó una investigación en todo el Valle de Apatzingán localizando 114 colectas en todos los municipios que comprende esta región, se realizaron encuestas a personas que conocen la planta para saber el uso que le dan a la Jatropha curcas. Este trabajo se elaboró porque se está buscando alternativas de combustible en el país y una alternativa sería la Jatropha curcas y se requiere conocer como está distribuida en el Valle de Apatzingán del estado de Michoacán y cuáles son las condiciones en las que se encuentran (clima, suelo, temperatura) que sean aptas para su cultivo. En este trabajo se identificó las condiciones climáticas de los sitios de colecta, la variabilidad de las semillas por fruto y el estado fenológico encontrado durante la colecta en los diferentes sitios.
