The present work addresses the application of the nursing process in a person with Chronic Heart Failure (CHF) and uses as a theoretical reference the General Self-Care Deficit Theory of Dorotea Elizabeth Orem adopted by the Faculty of Nursing of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás of Hidalgo. In the first section, the justification is indicated where the statistical data at the global, national, state and local levels referring to heart failure are mentioned. Next, the general objective and the specific objectives are presented to continue with the methodology, in which the method used to carry out the nursing process is indicated. The presentation of the clinical case continues, which includes the data obtained with the Assessment Guide based on Dorothea E. Orem's reference. Subsequently, the theoretical framework is developed, which is made up of three parts: The nursing process that includes the five stages that make it up, the general theory of Dorothea Elizabeth Orem's Self-Care Deficit and the natural history of the disease (Chronic Heart Failure) . An essential part of this work is the application of the nursing process, which includes the fundamental data obtained in the first stage of assessment organized into basic conditioning factors and universal and developmental self-care requirements, as well as health deviation requirements. Immediately afterwards, the identified diagnoses are presented with which the intervention plan is structured, which contains the interventions and nursing actions to be carried out together with their scientific foundation. The elements that allowed the execution of the intervention plan are detailed. It ends with the evaluation of said execution.
El presente trabajo aborda la aplicación del proceso de enfermería en una persona con Insuficiencia Cardiaca Crónica (ICC) y utiliza como referente teórico la Teoría general déficit de Autocuidado de Dorotea Elizabeth Orem adoptado por la Facultad de Licenciatura en Enfermería de la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. En el primer apartado se señala la justificación donde se mencionan los datos estadísticos a nivel mundial, nacional, estatal y local referentes a la insuficiencia cardiaca. Enseguida se presentan el objetivo general y los objetivos específicos para continuar con la metodología, en la que se señala el método empleado para la realización del proceso de enfermería. Se prosigue con la presentación del caso clínico, que incluye los datos obtenidos con la Guía de valoración con base en el referente de Dorothea E. Orem. Posteriormente se desarrolla el marco teórico el cual está conformado por tres partes: El proceso de enfermería que incluye las cinco etapas que lo conforman, la teoría general del Déficit de Autocuidado de Dorothea Elizabeth Orem y la historia natural de la enfermedad (Insuficiencia Cardiaca Crónica). Parte esencial de este trabajo lo constituye la aplicación del proceso de enfermería que incluye los datos fundamentales obtenidos en la primera etapa de valoración organizada en factores condicionantes básicos y requisitos de autocuidado universales y de desarrollo, así como los requisitos de desviación de la salud. Inmediatamente después se presentan los diagnósticos identificados con los que se estructura el plan de intervención, que contiene las intervenciones y acciones de enfermería a realizar junto con su fundamentación científica. Se detallan los elementos que permitieron la ejecución del plan de intervención. Se finaliza con la evaluación de dicha ejecución.
