Conducta sexual de riesgo para VIH asociada con carencia afectiva en jóvenes universitarios en Morelia

Abstract

At national level, for hour, 50 young people become infected with HIV. Sexual Risk Behavior (SRB) involves the individuals exposure to a situation that may cause harm to their health or that of another person, primarily through the spread of sexually transmitted infections. They are considered SRB; Early sexual initiation, multiple sexual partners and unprotected sex. Young university students are the most vulnerable to develop SRB and acquire Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), because they are in a period of life where there are multiple biopsychosocial changes that lead to sexual experimentation in search of an identity; The search for sexual satisfaction at an emotional level, together with other factors, is performed to cover affective needs. Therefore, the objective of this study was to establish the association of SRB and HIV with affective deficiency among university students in Morelia. It was a quantitative, correlational, transverse and non-experimental study. We surveyed 616 students from different undergraduate degrees from the health centers of the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. To measure the affective state, the multiple affective status adjectives questionnaire (MAACL) was used and the SRB was used to measure the 1) Sexual experience, 2) Sexual behavior and 3) Intimate activities, the results showed that of 616 Young university students who participated in the research 69%, that is, 425 have a SRB, likewise 82.6% (509) are at risk in their Intima activities; And 67.7% (417) young people are at risk in their sexual behavior. It was also found an association between sexual risk behavior and affective deficiency of its two sub dimensions: depression and rage, not so with hostility.

A nivel nacional, por hora, 50 jóvenes se infectan de VIH. Una Conducta Sexual de Riesgo (CSR) implica la exposición del individuo a una situación que pueda ocasionar daño a su salud o a la de otra persona, primordialmente a través del contagio por infecciones sexualmente transmisibles. Se consideran CSR; el inicio sexual a temprana edad, múltiples parejas sexuales y relaciones sexuales sin protección. Los jóvenes universitarios son los más vulnerables a desarrollar CSR y adquirir Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH), debido a que se hallan en un período de la vida donde existen múltiples cambios biopsicosociales que los llevan a la experimentación sexual en busca de una identidad; la búsqueda de satisfacción sexual a nivel emocional, sumado a otros factores, se realiza para cubrir necesidades afectivas. Por ello el objetivo de este estudio fue establecer la asociación de CSR y VIH con la carencia afectiva en los jóvenes universitarios de Morelia. Se trató de un estudio cuantitativo, correlacional, transversal y no experimental. Se encuestaron 616 estudiantes de diferentes licenciaturas pertenecientes a las DES de la salud de la Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. Para medir el estado afectivo se utilizó el cuestionario de adjetivos múltiples de estado afectivo (MAACL) y para medir la CSR se empleó el instrumento de 1) Experiencia sexual, 2) Comportamiento sexual y 3) Actividades Íntimas, los resultados obtenidos mostraron que de 616 jóvenes universitarios que participaron en la investigación el 69%, es decir, 425 tienen una CSR, así mismo el 82.6% (509) tiene riesgo en sus actividades Intimas; y el 67.7% (417) jóvenes tiene riesgo en su comportamiento sexual. También se encontró asociación entre una conducta sexual de riesgo y carencia afectiva de sus dos sub dimensiones: depresión y rabia, no así con hostilidad.
