Nursing is defined as the diagnosis and treatment of human responses to potentialize and update health problems. The nurse uses the nursing process to identify and synthesize clinical data and to order nursing actions that reduce, eliminate or prevent alterations in health that are within the legal and educational domain of nursing. In order to be able to use an instrument in this case, the nursing process and the NANDA diagnostic taxonomy, a conceptual framework or a philosophical conception of care is necessary to guide the collection, selection, analysis, and interpretation of information. It is thus as the issuing of a clinical judgment, becomes a creative method for problem solving. In this way a valuable instrument is created that serves the nurse as an orientation center for practicing the art and science of nursing care. In this work, the Nursing Process is developed covering its five stages applying this to a 91-year-old female patient with breast cancer. It shows the diagnoses and interventions as well as the care that was applied to the patient, their progress and the current health situation that manifests.
La enfermería es definida como el diagnóstico y tratamiento de respuestas humanas para potencializar y actualizar los problemas de salud. El enfermero utiliza el proceso de enfermería para identificar y sintetizar los datos clínicos y para ordenar actuaciones de enfermería que reduzcan, eliminen o prevengan las alteraciones de la salud que sean del dominio legal y educativo de la enfermería. Para poder utilizar un instrumento en este caso el proceso de enfermería y la taxonomía diagnostica de la NANDA, es necesario un marco conceptual o una concepción filosófica del cuidado, que guie la recogida, selección, análisis, e interpretación de la información. Es así como la emisión de un juicio clínico, se convierte en un método creativo para la resolución de problemas. De este modo se crea un instrumento valioso que le sirve a la enfermera como centro de orientación para practicar el arte y ciencia de los cuidados de Enfermería. En este trabajo se desarrolla el Proceso de Enfermería abarcando sus cinco etapas aplicando esto a un paciente femenino de 91 años con cáncer de mama. Se muestran los diagnósticos e intervenciones así como los cuidados que se le aplicaron al paciente, sus avances y la situación actual de salud que manifiesta.
