Propiedades psicométricas de la versión mexicana del inventario de fobia social (SPIN)

Abstract

The objective of the present work was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Inventory of Social (SPIN) phobia, due to the absence in our country of an instrument that evaluates this dysfunction of anxiety. The total number of participants belonged to 575 fellows, divided in 4 samples. The samples "TO" (n = 383) and "B" (n = 367) they were formed by student’s university .de those which 276 belonged to both samples., the sample "C" it corresponded fellows diagnosed with social phobia (n = 51), and "D" (n = 50) to individuals with dysfunction of widespread anxiety. The stocking of SPIN in the samples of students, it was of 13.20 (OF = 8.92) and of 12.63 (OF = 9.48); on the other hand, in people with social phobia was of 52.39 (OF = 4.07), and in subject with widespread anxiety of 24.02 (OF = 8.71). In the internal structure, it was considered the solution of a single factor well. The scale it showed an internal excellent consistency (to = 0.959), and a good dependability test-retest (r = 0.813) to 6 weeks. SPIN was correlated with other measures, and the correlations higher they were with the scales that you/they also mediate social phobia (SIAS, r = 0.719; SPS, R = 0.675; BFNE, R = 0.621), as long as the lowest were with those that mediate other constructs (BAI. ansiedad., r = 0.430; BDI. depression., r = 0.397; EG. gaudibilidad., r = -0.372); indicating this way, a convergent appropriate validity and discriminating against. Finally, the instrument showed to be able to differ among social phobia and dysfunction of widespread anxiety (t = 20.90, gl = 69.11, p < 0.001). "

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas del Inventario de Fobia Social (SPIN), debido a la ausencia en nuestro país de un instrumento que evalúe este trastorno de ansiedad. El número total de participantes fue de 575 sujetos, divididos en 4 muestras. Las muestras “A” (n = 383) y “B” (n = 367) estuvieron formadas por estudiantes universitarios –de los cuáles 276 pertenecieron a ambas muestras–, la muestra “C” correspondió a sujetos diagnosticados con fobia social (n = 51), y la “D” (n = 50) a individuos con trastorno de ansiedad generalizada. La media del SPIN en las muestras de estudiantes, fue de 13.20 (DE = 8.92) y de 12.63 (DE = 9.48); por su parte, en personas con fobia social fue de 52.39 (DE = 4.07), y en sujetos con ansiedad generalizada de 24.02 (DE = 8.71). En la estructura interna, se consideró mejor la solución de un solo factor. La escala mostró una excelente consistencia interna (a = 0.959), y una buena confiabilidad test-retest (r = 0.813) a 6 semanas. Se correlacionó el SPIN con otras medidas, y las correlaciones más elevadas fueron con las escalas que también median fobia social (SIAS, r = 0.719; SPS, r = 0.675; BFNE, r = 0.621), en tanto que las más bajas fueron con las que median otros constructos (BAI –ansiedad–, r = 0.430; BDI –depresión–, r = 0.397; EG –gaudibilidad–, r = -0.372); indicando de esta manera, una adecuada validez convergente y discriminante. Finalmente, el instrumento mostró ser capaz de diferenciar entre fobia social y trastorno de ansiedad generalizada (t = 20.90, gl = 69.11, p < 0.001).
