La construcción de la figura femenina en La Tregua, de Mario Benedetti, y su contraste con una adaptación fílmica

Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the semantic configuration of women in Mario Benedetti's novel The Truce (1960) and its subsequent film adaptation by Alfonso Rosas Priego (2003). It is argued that the passage of significant material from one supra-regulated field of semiotic production to another entails the coercion of elements to comply with the specific rules of the insertion field. Recapitulating the above and following the reformulated semantic model, the corresponding reading paths are carried out to determine how women are notionally constructed in the works under study. A socio-critical analysis is also presented, showing the socio-historical elements transcribed in the indicated texts. This research takes up feminist proposals, since it is believed that this movement has contributed to the axiological reconfiguration of women.

En este documento se presenta el análisis de la configuración semántica de la mujer en la novela La tregua de Mario Benedetti (1960) y en su posterior adaptación cinematográfica de Alfonso Rosas Priego (2003). Se considera que el paso de material significante de un campo suprarregulado de producción semiósica a otro, implica la coerción de elementos para que se pueda cumplir con las reglas específicos del campo de inserción. Retomando lo anterior y siguiendo el modelo semántico reformulado, se realizan los recorridos de lectura correspondientes para poder determinar cómo es que se construye nocionalmente a la mujer en las obras objeto de estudio. Asimismo, se presenta un análisis sociocrítico en el que se muestran los elementos sociohistóricos que se transcriben en los textos señalados. En esta investigación, se retoman propuestas feministas ya que se piensa que este movimiento ha contribuido la reconfiguración axiológica de la mujer.
