Our research will focus on the study of the religious policy and legislation on public worship was issued in Michoacan, between the years of 1910 to 1932. It aims to determine the impact the regulation had on the non-Catholic differences in combinations Religious Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist and Pentecostal. During this period, marked by the beginning of the revolutionary conflict and the struggle for the restoration of constitutional order in political and religious terms, involved strengthening the rule of the Church, the issue of the religious question took place not enough important in the political agenda of the authorities. In this period the law regulating cults 62 of the Governor Enrique Ramirez delivered in 1926, and the law of cults 100 of the Governor Lazaro Cardenas, gave continuity to the first regulation of religion formulated in 1869 by the then governor Justo Mendoza, who allowed for the first time the presence of other religions besides the Catholic in the state of Michoacan.
Nuestra investigación se centrará en el estudio de la política religiosa y la legislación que en materia de culto público se dictó en Michoacán, entre los años de 1910 a 1932. Se pretende conocer las consecuencias que dicha reglamentación tuvo sobre las diversidades no católicas en sus variantes religiosas bautista, presbiteriana, metodista y pentecostal. Durante éste periodo de tiempo, marcado por el inicio del conflicto revolucionario y la lucha por el restablecimiento del orden constitucional que, en términos político-religiosos, implicó el fortalecimiento del Estado sobre la Iglesia, el tema de la cuestión religiosa ocupó un lugar no poco importante en la agenda política de las autoridades. En este periodo de tiempo la ley reglamentaria de cultos número 62 del gobernador Enrique Ramírez dictada en 1926, y la ley de cultos número 100 del gobernador Lázaro Cárdenas, dieron continuidad al primer reglamento de cultos formulado en 1869 por el entonces gobernador Justo Mendoza, que permitió por vez primera la presencia de otras religiones además de la católica en el estado de Michoacán.
