El Corpus Christi P'urhépecha. La apropiación indígena de una fiesta en la época colonial

Abstract

After several years of having concluded the career and to be titled with a thesis on the conflict that the University lived Michoacana in the decade of 1980, the entrance to the master in the Institute of Historical Investigations implied a personal challenge, but also the opportunity to introduce me in the knowledge of the culture p.urhépecha with which have had contact from my earliest childhood, because my father has indigenous roots and it always fomented in us the love for the terruño and his people. However, the turn in the thematic line implied to outline an investigation proposal in very general terms, with special attention to the processes of change and continuity that happened soon after the Spanish conquest.

Tras varios años de haber concluido la carrera y titularme con una tesis sobre el conflicto que vivió la Universidad Michoacana en la década de 1980, el ingreso a la maestría en el Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas implicaba un reto personal, pero también la oportunidad de introducirme en el conocimiento de la cultura p?urhépecha con la cual he tenido contacto desde mi más temprana infancia, pues mi padre tiene raíces indígenas y siempre fomentó en nosotros el amor por el terruño y su gente. Sin embargo, el giro en la línea temática implicó plantear una propuesta de investigación en términos muy generales, con atención especial a los procesos de cambio y continuidad que ocurrieron a raíz de la conquista española.
