Mi municipio, lecciones de historia y geografía de La Huacana. Una propuesta metodológica para enseñar historia y geografía regional

Abstract

In the thresholds of this new century that he/she has played us to witness and mainly to live, the problems of the education that continue being more and more complex, have been increased and influenced by a neoliberal globalization that threatens the elimination of the cultural values, the traditions, the identity and the idiosyncrasy of the towns, in this sense, the educational ones face before an imminent challenge: to guide to the generation that he/she must live in this century and to contribute in their formation in a correct way if we want that this conserves the most valuable in our material and spiritual culture. In "The Great Link "2, Openhayn and Ottone point out that the education appears as the main field of reduction of inequalities to future and as the privileged road to overcome the intergenerational reproduction of the poverty, and it is that almost all are convinced that the humanity will only survive to itself in the one on the way to the wisdom and the solidity of the ethical and moral principles that we are able to inculcate to the youth. But what education do we offer them at the present time? The same one of twenty years ago, memorística, repetitive and not very moving? How to make it more active, touching and committed with the development of the future society? The equality of opportunities and the well-being, they are basic principles of societies that aspire to be fair, a complex question it is to define what elements they contribute to achieve these principles, but without a doubt the education is one of the most remarkable.

En los umbrales de este nuevo siglo que nos ha tocado presenciar y sobre todo vivir, los problemas de la educación que siguen siendo cada vez más complejos, han sido aumentados e influenciados por una globalización neoliberal que amenaza con la eliminación de los valores culturales, las tradiciones, la identidad y la idiosincrasia de los pueblos, en éste sentido, los docentes nos enfrentamos ante un inminente desafío: orientar a la generación que ha de vivir en este siglo y contribuir en su formación de manera correcta si queremos que ésta conserve lo más valioso de nuestra cultura material y espiritual. En “El Gran Eslabón”2, Openhayn y Ottone señalan que la educación aparece como el principal campo de reducción de desigualdades a futuro y como la vía privilegiada para superar la reproducción intergeneracional de la pobreza, y es que casi todos estamos convencidos de que la humanidad se salvará a sí misma solamente en el camino de la sabiduría y la solidez de los principios éticos y morales que logremos inculcar a la juventud. ¿Pero qué educación les brindamos en la actualidad? ¿La misma de hace veinte años, memorística, repetitiva y poco emotiva? ¿Cómo hacerla más activa, emocionante y comprometida con el desarrollo de la sociedad futura? La igualdad de oportunidades y el bienestar, son principios básicos de sociedades que aspiran a ser justas, un cuestionamiento complejo es definir qué elementos contribuyen a lograr estos principios, pero sin duda la educación es uno de los más notables.
