In the traditional management of stormwater, the runoff and infiltration, involving the sealing of bearing surfaces and large collectors which try to take out these waters; natural management areas are porous and allow a higher percentage of infiltration. With the pervious pavements is intended to match the natural conditions in urban areas, their use as ecological measure will be a part of a more complex solution to groundwater recharge and flooding in urban areas. The pervious concrete is one that serves as a rolling surface for paving, so allowing the percolation of rainwater into the layers of the pavement structure for later use. The layers of the pavement structure shall be of such so that such transit not affects rainfall, ie layers are inert to the presence of water. The use of pervious concrete has been done so far empirically. The Ecocreto ® is an additive that pervious concrete been working since 1994, this additive has been employed in much of the Mexican Republic and abroad, mostly U.S., even when it has not been characterized from the standpoint of mechanistic ie based on the mechanical behavior of its elements, why was not accepted by the Secretaries conveners of new paving, leaving his future employment at risk from applications of this that they will fail from the standpoint of structural or service, such as the filling. This thesis aims to lay the foundations for subsequent characterization and regulations of pervious concrete in Mexico, and their subsequent use in urban pavements, mainly.
En el manejo tradicional de las aguas pluviales, su escorrentía e infiltración, involucran la impermeabilización de las superficies de rodamiento y grandes colectores que intentan desalojar dichas aguas; en el manejo natural las superficies son permeables y permiten un porcentaje mayor de infiltración. Con los pavimentos permeables se pretende igualar las condiciones naturales en zonas urbanas, su uso como medida ecológica serán una parte de una solución más compleja a la recarga de acuíferos e inundaciones en zonas urbanas. El concreto permeable es aquel que nos sirve como superficie de rodadura en pavimentos, de tal forma que permita la percolación de las aguas pluviales hacia las capas de la estructura del pavimento para su posterior manejo. Las capas de la estructura del pavimento se harán de tal forma que dicho tránsito pluvial no las afecte, es decir serán capas inertes a la presencia del agua. El empleo del concreto permeable se ha hecho hasta ahora de manera empírica. El Ecocreto®, es un aditivo para concreto permeable que se ha venido trabajando desde 1994, este aditivo ha venido empleándose en buena parte de la República Mexicana y el extranjero, principalmente EUA, aún y cuando no ha sido caracterizado desde el punto de vista mecanicista, es decir en base al comportamiento mecánico de sus elementos, razón por la cual no ha sido aceptado por las Secretarias convocantes de nuevas obras de pavimentación, dejando en riesgo su futuro empleo por aplicaciones de éste que llegarán a fallar desde el punto de vista estructural o de servicio, como es la colmatación. El objetivo de esta Tesis de investigación es sentar las bases para la caracterización y posterior normatividad del concreto permeable en México, y su consecuente uso en pavimentos urbanos, principalmente.
