Proyecto de restauración y adecuación de la casa principal de la ex hacienda El Molino

Abstract

Located in Vista Hermosa de Negrete, Michoacán, the Main House of the Ex Hacienda El Molino, is a building of the second half of the nineteenth century, built in adobe, quarry, brick and wood. The building form part of an urban-architectural complex of great value, being the origin of the locality; and is one of the few hacendísticos ensembles that keep the entire architectural party still standing, whose technical-constructive and aesthetic-formal system has been little altered, presenting itself as a faithful testimony of the period called porfirismo. This building was temporary residence of the hacendado; however, following the Mexican Revolution and the later Agrarian Reform, it ended up passing to the newly created Municipality of Vista Hermosa. The greatest deterioration and alterations have been due to the abandonment of the last twenty years. Therefore, this work presents the methodology of evaluation, diagnosis and a proposal for restoration and integral adaptation project. Using qualitative methods: historical research and in situ recognition of the building; and quantitative methods: creation of numerical models of mathematical analysis, destined to the generation of information of the current state of the structural system and of the environmental quality; the proposal has the premise of sustainability and integral conservation.

Localizada en Vista Hermosa de Negrete, Michoacán, la Casa Principal de la Ex Hacienda El Molino, es un inmueble de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX, construido en adobe, cantera, ladrillo y madera. Forma parte de un conjunto urbano-arquitectónico de gran valor, que se constituye como origen de la localidad; es de los pocos conjuntos hacendísticos que mantienen la totalidad del partido arquitectónico aún en pie, y cuyo sistema técnico-constructivo y estético-formal ha sido poco alterado, presentándose como un testimonio fiel del periodo denominado porfirismo.1 Este inmueble funcionó como residencia temporal del hacendado; sin embargo, a raíz de la Revolución Mexicana y la posterior Reforma Agraria, terminó pasando al recién creado Municipio de Vista Hermosa. Los mayores deterioros y alteraciones han sido producto del abandono de los últimos veinte años. Por lo tanto, en este trabajo se presenta la metodología de evaluación y diagnóstico, así como una propuesta de proyecto de restauración y adecuación integral, que se rige por métodos cualitativos: investigación histórica y reconocimiento in situ del edificio; y métodos cuantitativos: creación de modelos numéricos de análisis matemáticos, destinados a la generación de información del estado actual del sistema estructural y de la calidad ambiental; la propuesta se plantea desde la premisa de la sostenibilidad y la conservación integral.
