Acné is a frequent, chronic and multifactorial disease that usually occurs in adolescents; worldwide there is a prevalence peak of 85% among 12 to 24 years of age. Among the risk factors, an important relationship between moderate and severe acne and a family history of acne has been found. Recent studies have shown a predominance of maternal inheritance; in cases of moderate to severe acne it was found that 19.9% have a family history. The severity of acne is determined based on its extension, which depends on the number of areas involved and the percentage of affection. The intensity of acne is graded by the presence of comedones, papules, pustules, nodules, cysts, and scars. Objective: To identify this pathology in a timely manner and to be able to initiate treatment in a timely manner, to be able to classify according to age, affected area and degree of severity and to be able to give effective recommendations for the care of the skin of the patients of the Children's Hospital of Morelia in August from 2018 to July 2020 Results: This study tells us about an adequate initial assessment, diagnosis and treatment carried out. The age group studied and most affected were adolescents, with a predominance of age between 14 and 17 years, representing this group 73.33%. Regarding the anatomical site, we found 43.3% in the face and thorax as well as the face only and 13% in the thorax only. Regarding treatment, most of the patients, representing 30% of the patients, were treated only with isotretinoin.
El acné es una enfermedad frecuente, crónica y multifactorial, que se presenta usualmente en los adolescentes; a nivel mundial existe un pico de prevalencia de 85% entre los 12 a 24 años de edad. Entre los factores de riesgo se ha encontrado una importante relación entre el acné moderado y severo con el antecedente familiar de acné.4 En estudios recientes se demostró un predominio de herencia materna; en los casos de acné moderado a severo se encontró que un 19.9% tienen un antecedente familiar. La gravedad del acné se determina con base en su extensión, que depende del número de áreas comprometidas y el porcentaje de afección. La intensidad del acné se califica por la presencia de comedones, pápulas, pústulas, nódulos, quistes y cicatrices Objetivo: Identificar de manera oportuna esta patología y poder iniciar de manera oportuna tratamiento, poder clasificar de acuerdo a edad, zona afectada y grado de severidad y poder dar recomendaciones efectivas para el cuidado de la piel de los pacientes del Hospital Infantil de Morelia de agosto del 2018 a julio del 2020 Resultados: Este estudio nos habla de una adecuada valoración inicial, diagnóstico y tratamiento realizados. El grupo etario estudiado y mayormente afectado fueron adolescentes, con predominio de edad entre los 14 y 17 años representando este grupo un 73.33%. En cuanto al sitio anatómico encontramos 43.3% en cara y tórax al igual que solo cara y un 13% en tórax únicamente. En cuanto al tratamiento la mayoría de los pacientes que representa el 30% de los pacientes fueron tratados únicamente con isotretinoína.
