Evaluación in vitro del grado de filtración comparando tres técnicas de obturación: condensación lateral, touch’nheat y thermafill, por medio de un corte longitudinal, en raíces distales de molares inferiores

En el presente estudio de filtración apical se compararon tres técnicas de obturación: Condensación Lateral, Touch’n Heat y Thermafil. Hasta la actualidad se trata de encontrar la mejor técnica de obturación que ofrezca mejor grado de sellado tridimensional ya que no existe un método que garantice el 100% de eficacia. Se utilizaron 60 raíces distales de molares inferiores de piezas dentarias permanentes, con ápices completamente formados, sin fracturas radiculares y sin tratamientos previos de endodoncia. Los dientes fueron almacenados en glutaraldehído y después sumergidos en hipoclorito de sodio al 5.25% durante 4 horas, se procedió a retirar la porción coronal del diente a la altura de la unión esmalte – cemento utilizando un disco de carburo de una luz. Se sondean los conductos con una lima número 10 tipo K para ver la permeabilidad del conducto, con una lima número 15 Flexo File se determina la longitud de trabajo a .5mm del vértice radiográfico. Se realizó la instrumentación de los conductos con limas ProTaper según la instrumentación del fabricante para conductos medianos. Se ajustó una lima manual número 35, se toman radiografías de cronometría y se procedió a la obturación de 20 piezas con su técnica correspondiente Condensación Lateral, Thermafil y Touch’n Heat.
