An orthopedic precocious treatment that provides an improvement in the aspect dentofacial, will allow a psychological normal development of the children, with direct influence on its self-esteem. (1)initially to correct skeletal problems, dentoalveolares and muscular until the initial phase of the permanent teething. The orthopedic treatment controls the growth craneofacial, improving the general morphology. (2) (3) appeared at the beginning of the century it is maybe the classification of Angle that most diffused one. Among their inconveniences he/she is the reference exclusively to the position of the teeth in a single plan of the space, that is to say the patient always of profile. Anyway it is good for a quick identification of the anomalies, the fact of being so simple has maybe been the factor for which stays effective after a hundred years of existence.

La estética facial es un factor muy significativo en las relaciones sociales de todo ser humano. Un tratamiento ortopédico precoz, que proporcione una mejora en el aspecto dentofacial, permitirá un desenvolvimiento psicológico normal de los niños, con influencia directa sobre su autoestima. (1) Inicialmente corregir problemas esqueléticos, dentoalveolares y musculares hasta la fase inicial de la dentición permanente. El tratamiento ortopédico controla el crecimiento craneofacial, mejorando la morfología general. (2) (3) Aparecida a principios del siglo es quizá la clasificación de Angle la más difundida. Entre sus inconvenientes se encuentra la referencia exclusivamente a la posición de los dientes en un solo plano del espacio, o sea el paciente siempre de perfil. De todos modos sirve para una identificación rápida de las anomalías, el hecho de ser tan simple ha sido quizá el factor por el cual se mantiene vigente después de cien años de existencia.
