Recalcitrant, toxic and / or colored compounds can be eliminated through advanced oxidation processes; It lies within these heterogeneous photocatalysis, which uses photoactive semiconductor and can be optimized to implement new methods of synthesis. In this research TiO2 it was synthesized from a slurry obtained by the hydrothermal method solvo-microwave assisted, which was oven dried at 100 ° C; powders calcined at temperatures 350, 400, 450, 550, 650, 750 (° C) for one hour. XRD results with the various phases forming anatase-rutile (T-550 and T-650) was determined and rutile, since anatase-amorphous (T-100, T-350, T-400 and T-450), ( T-750). In the SEM micrographs it was observed that the frequency of 20 .mu.m larger agglomerates increase as a function of the calcination temperature, as reflected in the decrease in specific surface area from 125 m2 • g-1 to 1.1 m2 • g -1 (catalyst T-100 and T-750 respectively). Photocatalytic evaluation was conducted in two reaction systems (SR-SR-I and II), both blue dye solution 9 to 20 ppm acid and 1 g • L-1 catalyst was used. In the SR-I, with the catalysts T-350 T-550 yy greater degradations 90% were obtained and the SR-II with powders T-350, T-400, T-450 and T-550, both systems for 3 h of irradiation; however, the catalyst D P-25 complete discoloration times were obtained at 1 h 1.25 h (SR-SR-I and II respectively).
