Through many years of research, it was discovered that the titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a semiconductor and photocatalyzer effective chemical compounds to degrade pollutants through oxidation processes [1], which makes it suitable for the treatment of wastewater. One of the processes used widely for the synthesis of TiO2 is the solgel. One of the inconveniences to use titania as photocatalyzer is that it has a relatively low surface area and a poor structural stability at high temperatures, so the focus has been to the implementation of mixed oxides. For example, the addition of gamma alumina to titania produced using the method of sol-gel, it is thermally more stable and stabilizes the transition of the rutile phase anatase (4). Substrate was used as a glass fiber type and commercial, they opted for the type of substrate because it is intended to obtain a greater surface area specific, compared with those authors who were used as substrate a borosilicate glass, this due to the fact that be glass fiber will have a greater contact area with the coating. Once obtained the sun of TiO2-Al2O3 -, originates with the coating using the immersion technique, new phrasings of 2-3 times with the aim of creating a multi-tier, continuing with the drying process at a controlled temperature of 100°C for 12 hr. It was subsequently submitted to the sintering in a muffle furnace with a heating ramp rate of 5°C/min until it reaches a temperature of 500°C for TiO2 100 %, 600°C for TiO2-Al2O3 10% and 700°C for TiO2-Al2O3 20 %, with a dwell time of 2 hr.
