dc.description.abstract | Palliative Care, is provided at the end of life, active care of diseases that do not respond to curative treatment. Spiritual well-being, set of beliefs, values, lead the individual to find the meaning of life. Terminal phase: person with an incurable disease; causes confusion, apprehension, feelings of anger in family members; it leads to physical, psychological and spiritual suffering. Objective. To evaluate the effectiveness of Palliative Care as a nursing intervention to promote Spiritual Well-being in relatives of terminal patients. Material and methods. Study with a pre-experimental / post-test design, longitudinal, with a single group of participants, non-probabilistic sampling for convenience. Sample made up of 116 participants, direct relatives of 30 patients, in their homes. Use of validated instrument: “Pamela Reed's Spirituality Questionnaire”. Results. 62.1% (72) were female, married 52.6% (61), with high school 35.3% (41), Catholics 87.9% (102), employees 52.6% (61), the kinship that predominated were daughters 32.8% (38). The level of Spiritual Well-being pre-intervention was low with 62.1% (72), a post-intervention increase was obtained 67.2% (78) high level. A relationship between the Spiritual Well-being variable was found with the sociodemographic variables, the value being p = 0.000. Discussion. Similarity was observed with other studies conducted by Antayhua (2016) and Ariño (2018). | en |
dc.description.abstract | Cuidados Paliativos, se brindan al final de la vida, cuidado activo de enfermedades que no responden a tratamiento curativo. Bienestar Espiritual, conjunto de creencias, valores, llevan al individuo a encontrar el significado de vida. Fase terminal: persona con una enfermedad incurable; provoca en familiares confusión, aprensión, sentimientos de ira; conlleva al sufrimiento físico, psicológico y espiritual. Objetivo. Evaluar la efectividad de los Cuidados Paliativos como intervención de enfermería en pacientes terminales para favorecer el Bienestar Espiritual en familiares. Material y métodos. Estudio con diseño preexperimental de preprueba/posprueba, longitudinal, con un solo grupo de participantes, muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Muestra conformada por 116 participantes familiares directos de 30 pacientes, en sus hogares. Utilización instrumento validado: “Cuestionario de Espiritualidad de Pamela Reed”. Resultados. El 62.1% (72) fueron del género femenino, casados 52.6% (61), con preparatoria 35.3% (41), católicos 87.9% (102), empleados 52.6% (61), el parentesco que predominó fueron las hijas 32.8% (38). El nivel de Bienestar Espiritual pre-intervención fue bajo con 62.1% (72), se obtuvo un aumento post-intervención 67.2% (78) nivel alto. Se encontró relación de la variable Bienestar Espiritual con las variables sociodemográficas siendo el valor de p=0.000. Discusión. Se observó similitud con otros estudios realizados por Antayhua (2016) y Ariño (2018). Conclusiones. Se demostró efectividad de los Cuidados Paliativos como Intervención de Enfermería para favorecer el Bienestar Espiritual en los familiares. | es_MX |
