Caracterización de los sistemas de producción de ganado bovino en Tierra Caliente del Estado de Michoacán

Abstract

The objective of the present work was to determine which are the main systems of bovine production in the Region of Hot Earth in the state of Michoaca?n. The work was carried out in the municipalities of Caracu?aro, Nocupetaro, Huetamo, San Lucas, Tiquicheo and Tuzantla, belonging to the District of Rural Development 093. It was used of methodology the rural technique of investigation participation on where in an interactive way you work with a total of 400 producing of the six municipalities, and to which were applied a questionnaire. The obtained information of the applied questionnaires, he/she was organized and it processed in a database for municipality, considering the qualitative variables firstly and later on the quantitative variables, establishing a group of 86 representative variables of diverse aspects related with the systems of bovine production of the Region of Hot Earth. The measures were: objective of the system, production systems, nutritious resource, structures of the cluster, other animal species inside the system, system of I milk, I manage productive, I manage reproductive of the cluster, genetic improvement, agricultural resource and territorial waters, preventive medicine, human capital and type of producers. The information collect in field was analyzed using the procedure CATMOD (SAS, 1999). In general form it was found that in the Region of Hot Earth the system of main production is the breeding of calves to the weaning, in agostaderos, nevertheless, in the municipality of Huetamo they also exist subsystems of production of milk. It was found that the holding of the earth is of two types, property ejidal and small property, the size average of the properties is of, 50 hectares.

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar cuáles son los principales sistemas de producción bovina en la Región de Tierra Caliente en el estado de Michoacán. El trabajo fue realizado en los municipios de Carácuaro, Nocupétaro, Huetamo, San Lucas, Tiquicheo y Tuzantla, pertenecientes al Distrito de Desarrollo Rural 093. Se utilizó? de metodología la técnica rural de investigación participativa donde de manera interactiva se trabajó con un total de 400 productores de los seis municipios, y a los cuales se les aplico? un cuestionario. La información obtenida de los cuestionarios aplicados, se organizó? y proceso? en una base de datos por municipio, considerando primeramente las variables cualitativas y posteriormente las variables cuantitativas, estableciendo un grupo de 86 variables representativas de diversos aspectos relacionados con los sistemas de producción bovina de la Región de Tierra Caliente. Las medidas fueron: objetivo del sistema, sistemas de producción, recurso alimenticio, estructura del hato, otras especies animales dentro del sistema, sistema de orden?o, manejo productivo, manejo reproductivo del hato, mejoramiento genético, recurso agrícola y acuícola, medicina preventiva, capital humano y tipología de productores. La información recabada en campo se analizó? utilizando el procedimiento CATMOD (SAS, 1999). En forma general se encontró? que en la Región de Tierra Caliente el sistema de producción principal es la cría de becerros al destete, en agostaderos, no obstante, en el municipio de Huetamo existen también subsistemas de producción de leche. Se encontró? que la tenencia de la tierra es de dos tipos, propiedad ejidal y pequeña propiedad, el tamaño promedio de los predios es de, 50 hectáreas.
