Desde la llegada a México del cinematógrafo en 1896, el cine en nuestro país ha luchado contra las reglamentaciones, que quieren callar la voz de los realizadores. Ahora, en el siglo XXI, a pesar de que la Constitución y la Ley Federal de Cinematografía hablan de una libertad de expresión, los cineastas deben conocer los límites de ésta, desde que escriben el guion, para evitar caer en la censura.
