Proyecto de restauración de la Capilla del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, en la Exhacienda de El Tesorero, Jerez, Zacatecas

Abstract

The Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, located in the former Hacienda of El Tesorero, Zacatecas, is a religious building faithful representative of the provincial eclecticism, whose rescue aims to grant it the deserved recognition as one of the heritage landmarks inheritors of Porfirian architecture in the Jerez region. Its birth during the late nineteenth century allowed it to immerse itself in the modernist aspirations of a young society that intermingled rural and urban life in its day-to-day life, imprinting this symbiotic relationship in the various cultural manifestations that inked the canvas of that region. Starting from the knowledge of the building and its various contexts in the approximation stage, various analyzes and diagnoses of the building are carried out, to synthesize the knowledge acquired in the proposals for restoration, adaptation and management of the object of study.

La Capilla del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, ubicada en la antigua Hacienda de El Tesorero, Zacatecas, es un inmueble religioso fiel representante del eclecticismo provinciano, cuyo rescate pretende otorgarle el merecido reconocimiento como uno de los hitos patrimoniales herederos de la arquitectura porfiriana en la región jerezana. Su nacimiento durante los finales del siglo XIX le permitió embeberse de las aspiraciones modernistas de una sociedad joven que entremezclaba la vida rural y urbana en su día a día, imprimiendo dicha relación simbiótica en las diversas manifestaciones culturales que entintaron el lienzo de esa comarca. Partiendo del conocimiento del inmueble y sus diversos contextos en la etapa de aproximación, se realizan diversos análisis y diagnósticos del bien, para sintetizar los conocimientos adquiridos en las propuestas de restauración, adecuación y gestión del objeto de estudio.
