The presentation of this research will have in its first chapter gathering background Advisory water use and the use of water flumes devices to better control and use of this vital liquid, mainly in Mexico. The presentation of this research will have in its first chapter gathering background Advisory water use and the use of water flumes devices to better control and use of this vital liquid, mainly in Mexico. There will be a detailed description of the device type Parshall flume in the second chapter; this description includes a summary of the International Standard ISO 9826 "Measurement of liquid flow in open channels - Parshall and SANIIRI Channels" which tells us the characteristics that govern the construction and operation of this device for proper operation. The third chapter gives a historical overview of the importance and application of the gauges in flow measurement, in this chapter the conditions to be fulfilled work capacity are also presented. The fourth chapter refers to the procedure followed for the type Parshall flume design, the construction process of the device and installing it on the site chosen for the experimental verification of the sender. In the fifth chapter we find the methodology for verifying Parshall flume in operation. The sixth chapter is to describe in detail the program of experiments were conducted in order to represent possible conditions encountered in the operation of the gauges in the field. In the seventh chapter the analysis and interpretation of the results obtained from experimental verification testing of the device, for which a series of tables and graphs results for the best interpretation of the effect caused various disorders occur presented. In the eighth chapter the conclusions and recommendations are made, which we got to the end and understand the research and verify the operation of Parshall flumes type; These conclusions and recommendations were developed in hopes of contributing to a better functioning of the Parshall flume.
