Capacidad y demanda sísmica del puente Infiernillo II

Abstract

The Infiernillo II Bridge is part of the Siglo XXI highway going Patzcuaro Lazaro Cardenas. Its construction represented an important decision on engineering issues, because, although he had not contemplated, it was decided to build in May 2002 as a solution to obstacles in the line of the highway. To Mexican engineering, not only it represented a work that would benefit the part of the Altiplano, the Bajio and Southeast of the country, but that is of paramount importance because it is one of the first bridges in the country to which he installed a system Seismic isolation multirotacionales based insulators. Its importance does not end there, but we must also take into account the investment made by the Federal Government, through the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation. For the State of Michoacan, in the year 2002 517.10 million pesos were allocated to road infrastructure, including Infiernillo II Bridge. The total for that year for the bank, the bridge absorbed 195.70 million, ie 37.5% of the annual budget. Finally, from the start of construction, to completion, a total investment of 421.6 million pesos was contemplated. As explained above, this structure deserves special interest in terms of its operation. The bridge is located near the subduction fault is between the oceanic and continental plate; in this place they have generated the strongest earthquakes in history in Mexico. It is because of this and the importance of the bridge, this research develops. The study is to determine the capacity and seismic demand the bridge, independently; but not before developing an analytical model that meets the necessary characteristics to shed reliable results.

El puente Infiernillo II forma parte de la Autopista Siglo XXI que va de Pátzcuaro a Lázaro Cárdenas. Su construcción representó una decisión importante en cuestiones ingenieriles, ya que, aunque no se tenía contemplado, se optó por construirlo en Mayo del año 2002 como solución a obstáculos en el trazo de la Autopista. Para la ingeniería mexicana, no solo representaba una obra que beneficiaría a la parte del Altiplano, el Bajío y el Sureste del país, sino que tiene una importancia primordial porque es uno de los primero puentes en el territorio nacional al que se le instaló un sistema de aislamiento sísmico a base de aisladores multirotacionales. Su importancia no termina ahí, sino que además hay que tener en cuenta la inversión que hizo el Gobierno Federal, a través de la Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes. Para el Estado de Michoacán, en al año 2002 se destinaron 517.10 millones de pesos en infraestructura carretera, incluyendo el puente Infiernillo II. Del total destinado en ese año para la entidad, la construcción del puente absorbió 195.70 millones de pesos, es decir, el 37.5 % del presupuesto anual. Finalmente, desde el inicio de la construcción, a su terminación, se contempló una inversión total de 421.6 millones de pesos. Por lo explicado anteriormente, esta estructura merece especial interés en cuanto a su funcionamiento. El puente se ubica cerca de la falla de subducción que se da entre la placa oceánica y continental; en este lugar se han generado los movimientos sísmicos más intensos de la historia en México. Es por esto y por la importancia del puente, que se desarrolla esta investigación. El estudio consiste en determinar la capacidad y la demanda sísmica del puente, de manera independiente; no sin antes elaborar un modelo analítico que cumpla con las características necesarias para arrojar resultados confiables.
