Comportamiento estructural del Templo de San Agustín en Morelia, Michoacán

Abstract

This investigation is a point to start to make forward investigations about this historic-religious buildings, with the purpose of helping to a better comprehension of the structural behavior, that currently is a one the areas of the structural engineering with few investigations, so is necessary to contribute a research. The present work is exhaustive investigation that brings together a group of researches that are precedent to this work , with them we selected the adequate methodology to follow , when we want to analyze historic-religious buildings built with masonry, in this specific case the structural analyze was about the San Agustín Church in Morelia city, We opted for this church because of it is the most damaged buildings in the city. In addition to show the obtained results we make some suggestions to improve the structural characteristics of the church based on the results, as well as some conclusions about this investigation.

Este trabajo es un punto de partida para que se puedan realizar posteriores investigaciones en este tipo de edificios histórico-religiosos, con el fin de que de ayude a la mejor compresión del comportamiento estructural, que actualmente es una rama de la ingeniería estructural con muy pocas investigaciones, por tanto necesario aportar una investigación El presente trabajo es una investigación exhaustiva que reúne un conjunto de investigaciones que son antecedentes a este trabajo con las cuales se seleccionó la metodología más a adecuada a seguir, cuando se quiere analizar estructuras de tipo histórico-religioso hechos de mampostería en este caso específico el análisis estructural se realizó al templo de San Agustín de la ciudad de Morelia, Michoacán. Se optó por realizar un análisis estructural a este templo ya que es uno de los que más presentan daños estructurales en la ciudad. Además de mostrar los resultados que se obtuvieron, se hacen algunas recomendaciones para mejorar las características estructurales del templo basadas en los resultados, así como también unas conclusiones sobre esta investigación.
