Análisis y evaluación de puentes virreinales de finales del siglo XVI a principios del siglo XIX en Michoacán, México

Abstract

The interest to preserve ancient roads and landmarks in our country, has increased in recent years as a result of the Declaration of the Unesco to the way Real de Tierra Adentro as Cultural Heritage route in August 2010. Keep this new world heritage, since the exact location of it, has generated interest by various departments to use new information technologies to catalog them and protect them. Such is the case of the Viceregal bridges and surrounding routes representing the State of Michoacán de Ocampo in this nature. According to a study carried out in the 2013. El interés por conservar los caminos antiguos y monumentos históricos en nuestro país, ha incrementado en los últimos años a raíz de la declaratoria de la Unesco al Camino Real de Tierra Adentro como itinerario Cultural Patrimonio de la Humanidad en agosto de 2010. El mantener este nuevo Patrimonio Mundial, desde la ubicación exacta del mismo, ha generado el interés por varios departamentos de utilizar las nuevas tecnologías de la información para catalogarlos y resguardarlos. Tal es el caso de los Puentes Virreinales y de las vías aledañas que representan al Estado de Michoacán de Ocampo en esta índole. Según un estudio realizado en el 2013. Muchos de estos puentes forman parte de nuestra cultura, enriqueciendo nuestro patrimonio histórico, estético e ingenieril. No debemos olvidar que, en ciertos casos, estos puentes, además de estructuras funcionales (en su mayoría), representan la cultura y arte de una época histórica y, al mismo tiempo, son valedores de los avances de la ciencia y tecnología de la época en que fueron proyectados y construidos. Es por lo tanto una necesidad de primer nivel, el poder contar con herramientas digitales para utilizar la información de inventarios no digitales de monumentos histórico-culturales (incluidas infraestructuras viarias completas), como el del INAH, y lograr así una mejor gestión de las aplicaciones de esta información para el consecuente análisis y toma de decisiones con criterios de sustentabilidad.
