In this investigation work, a prototype of a filter was made where water was treated with Salmonella typhi bacteria using a material of silver nanoparticles supported on clinoptilolite zeolite. The materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction techniques (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The bacteria were incubated in trypticasein soy broth, using MacConkey agar for its cultivation and quantification. The Salmonella typhi bacteria were eliminated in less than 1 minute.
