Abstract

The tasks are complicated when the works are carried out in conditions that put the lives of the workers at risk, such as, for example, working at heights, deep excavations, handling of flammable material, confined spaces, welding and cutting activities, specialized electrical installations, night shifts, strict quality control and logs, etc. The Secretaria de Trabajo y Prevision Social has issued regulations that help reduce the number and magnitude of accidents, however, it is the strong humanistic sense that combined with our ability to decide in a timely and effective manner and our ingenuity / imagination to solve problems. that will guide us to a good development of the project, which will result in higher quality work and a decent work environment for all participants. It is not only a matter of seeking optimization, of producing more, of taking the workers to the limit of strength, it is also necessary to ensure respect for life, the physical and emotional health of the workers involved in civil Works. Something as noble as human dignity is not appreciated for what it is worth, in buildings, a clear example is, not providing a specific place to eat, then we force workers to consume their food sitting on the ground, in the rubble, among the material. There is a lot of education and commitment to strengthening safety and health at work, but applying the regulations and attending to the well-being of workers, with patience and discipline, we will achieve better climates and work environments.

En los inicios del trabajo en obra civil, cualquier recién egresado o trabajador en general puede sentirse intimidado por la labor y la responsabilidad tan grande que representa el control o la supervisión de un gran número de actividades, en muchas de las cuales desconocemos como actuar correctamente. Las labores se complican cuando los trabajos se desarrollan en condiciones que ponen en riesgo la vida de los trabajadores, como, por ejemplo, trabajos en altura, excavaciones profundas, manejo de material inflamable, espacios confinados, actividades de soldadura y corte, instalaciones eléctricas especializadas, turnos nocturnos, control estricto de calidad y bitácoras, etc. La Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social ha emitido normas que ayudan a reducir el número y magnitud de accidentes, sin embargo, es el fuerte sentido humanista quien combinado con nuestra capacidad de decidir de forma oportuna y efectiva y nuestro ingenio/imaginación para solucionar problemas lo que nos guiará a un buen desarrollo de proyecto, que resultará en trabajos de mayor calidad y un ambiente laboral digno para todos los participantes. No se trata solo de buscar la optimización, de producir más, de llevar al límite de fuerza a los trabajadores, se debe procurar también, un respeto hacia la vida, a la salud física y emocional de los trabajadores involucrados en las obras de tipo civil. Algo tan noble como la dignidad humana no se aprecia en lo que vale, en las construcciones, un ejemplo claro es, no proporcionar un lugar específico para comer, entonces obligamos a los trabajadores a consumir sus alimentos sentados en el suelo, en los escombros, entre el material. Falta mucha educación y compromiso con el fortalecimiento de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo, pero aplicando la normativa y atendiendo al bienestar de los trabajadores, con paciencia y disciplina, lograremos mejores climas y ambientes laborales.
