The present thesis work is presented the synthesis and characterization of 2D nanosheets shaped nanomaterials of CsPbCl3 and Cs4PbCl6 with perovskite structure. They were synthesized by the hot injection method with variations in temperature and reaction times. In addition, TOP was added to the method, which considerably helped the dissolution time of the PbCl3 precursor. Nanosheets were obtained with dimensions between 100 nm to 1.2 μm in length and width, with thicknesses between 10 nm to 50 nm. It was found that the variation of nanosheet sizes was due to the amount of ligands (OA) and the thickness of nanosheets is associated with the change of reaction temperature from 150, 170, 200 °C. In addition, the nanosheets that were synthesized at the lowest temperature are the ones that had the best absorbance and photoluminescence.
