This thesis addresses the issue of urban-architectural image improvement of one of the most deteriorated colonies in Chilchota, Michoacán, called “La Mesa”. The project studies basic concepts such as urban image, housing, infrastructure, urban equipment, etc., in order to understand the subject and cover the main characteristics. It begins with making the morphological reading of Chilchota. Knowing the physical, geographical, cultural, economic, urban and architectural context is key to understanding the relationship that exists with the "La Mesa" neighborhood.
En esta tesina se aborda el tema de mejoramiento de imagen urbano-arquitectónica de una de las colonias más deterioradas en Chilchota, Michoacán, denominada “La Mesa”. En el proyecto se estudian conceptos básicos como imagen urbana, vivienda, infraestructura, equipamiento urbano, etc., con el fin de entender el tema y abarcar las características principales. Se comienza por realizar la lectura morfológica de Chilchota. Conocer el contexto físico, geográfico, cultural, económico, urbano y arquitectónico, es clave para comprender la relación que existe con la colonia “La Mesa”.
