Proyecto arquitectónico del laboratorio de imágenes cerebrales en el Centro Michoacano de Salud Mental (CEMISAM) Tarímbaro

Abstract

Because there is currently a brain imaging laboratory covering both demand Michoacán Mental Health Center (CEMISAM) and the Psychiatric Hospital Orozco José Torres - that are located in the cities of Morelia and Tarimbaro respectively and provide their services to people throughout the state of Michoacán, the need has arisen from these two institutions to manage the construction and equipment of a specialized laboratory, which can be obtained scans, scans, x-rays and ultrasonography for the study the human brain, which is a real and current demand for care for patients of these hospitals. These two institutions engaged in mental health care for several decades, with oldest psychiatric hospital Orozco José Torres with over 50 years of service, while the CEMISAM operates from nearly 30 years ago. The creation of a brain imaging laboratory is feasible and viable by being required to the health sector (see attached letter of support) and have the support of the state government for the project and for the supply of specialized equipment for the study of the human brain, and also supports private companies exist that provide support for these institutions to acquire the equipment necessary for the analysis and diagnosis of human brain.

Debido a que actualmente no se cuenta con un laboratorio de imágenes cerebrales que cubra la demanda tanto del Centro Michoacano de Salud Mental (CEMISAM), como del Hospital Psiquiátrico José Torres Orozco - que se ubican en los municipios de Tarímbaro y Morelia respectivamente y prestan sus servicios a población de todo el estado de Michoacán, se ha planteado la necesidad por parte de esas dos instituciones de gestionar la construcción y equipamiento de un laboratorio especializado, en el cual puedan obtenerse tomografías, resonancias, rayos x, así como ultrasonografías para el estudio del cerebro humano, lo cual es una demanda real y actual para atender a los pacientes de estos nosocomios. Estas dos instituciones realizan actividades de atención de enfermedades mentales desde hace varias décadas, siendo más antiguo el hospital psiquiátrico José Torres Orozco con más de 50 años de servicio, en tanto que el CEMISAM opera desde hace casi 30 años. La creación de un laboratorio de imágenes cerebrales es factible y viable por el hecho de ser requerido que del sector salud (ver carta de apoyo anexa) y tener el apoyo del gobierno del estado para realizar el proyecto y para el suministro de equipos especializados para el estudio del cerebro humano, y además existen apoyos de empresas privadas que otorgan apoyo a estas instituciones para adquirir los equipos necesarios para el análisis y diagnóstico del cerebro humano.
