Abstract

Talk of Michoacán today is talk about art, culture and traditions, and all those magical towns that have managed to grow tourism in a major way, and it's no wonder, with the recent appointments "Michoacán as Cultural Heritage "UNESCO to Pirekua (own musical genre Purépecha people of Michoacán state) and traditional cuisine, and our Don Vasco Road has been awarded in the FITUR (International Tourism Festiva) as the best world active tourism product. I forget twenty-two years ago Morelia was named a World Heritage Site, and throughout these decades has established itself as the capital of arts events, festivals, conferences, etc., making it an excellent place for cultural communication. As pointed out by the President of the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CONACULTA): Cinema in Mexico is currently enjoying a golden period. A fortunate combination of factors has led to this revival. We have full creative activity in a group of truly talented professionals, probably the best set of long and successful filmmakers of national cinematography. We have formidable actors, directors, writers, cinematographers, editors, composers, technicians and producers. I do not think there is a specialty or linked to film production in which there is more of a Mexican first class whose work is internationally recognized profession. The film should not be seen only as a distraction or as mere entertainment, but as art, education and human, and what better to take advantage of the current Mexican talent and technology that surrounds us.

Hablar de Michoacán hoy, es hablar de arte, cultura y tradiciones, y de todos aquellos Pueblos Mágicos que han logrado hacer crecer el turismo de una manera importante, y no es para menos, con los nombramientos recientes “Michoacán como Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad” de la UNESCO a la Pirekua (Género musical propio del pueblo Purépecha del estado de Michoacán) y a la cocina Tradicional, y nuestra Ruta Don Vasco que ha sido premiada en la FITUR (Festiva Internacional de Turismo) como el mejor producto mundial de turismo activo. Cómo olvidar que hace veintidós años Morelia fue nombrada Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad, y a lo largo de estas décadas se ha consolidado como capital de eventos artísticos, festivales, congresos, etc., convirtiéndose en un excelente lugar de comunicación cultural. Como había señalado la presidenta del Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (CONACULTA): El cine en México vive actualmente una nueva etapa de oro. Una combinación afortunada de factores diversos ha favorecido este renacimiento. Tenemos en plena actividad creativa a un grupo de profesionales verdaderamente talentosos, probablemente el mejor conjunto de cineastas de larga y exitosa cinematografía nacional. Contamos con formidables actores, directores, guionistas, cinematógrafos, editores, compositores, técnicos y productores. No creo que exista una especialidad o un oficio vinculado a la producción cinematográfica en la que no exista más de un mexicano de primer nivel cuyo trabajo goza de reconocimiento internacional. El cine no debe concebirse solamente como distractor o como mero entretenimiento, si no como arte, educación y formación humana, y que mejor que aprovechar el talento mexicano y la tecnología actual que nos rodea.
